Tubing

Tubing is a great tow activity. It requires little skill and is sure to bring about shrieks of delight from kids of all ages. But the driver needs to be aware of the risks. Remember these important safety measures to make sure everyone has a good time.

+ Never allow the tube rider to come too close to docks, shallow areas, submerged rocks, navigational markers or other obstructions.

+ Choose your speed based on the water conditions and the age of the rider.

+ It’s preferable that riders be stomach down, to avoid bouncing their knees into their heads.

+ While a gentle zigzag can provide an exciting ride, “whipping” the tube by turning sharply can cause serious injury.
